On Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 May 2025 you are most welcome for an inspiring Ghosh yoga workshop:
Breath, body and mind: building your yoga practice
These two workshop are for everyone wishing to explore and deepen your yoga practice. Whether you just started, or are a more experience yogi. You build your yoga pratice with Ida and Scott.
Programme
This weekend of workshops is centred around Building your practice. In the broad sense of the word: gaining insight on what and how you are practising yoga. Postures, breathing, your awareness and presence. We explore at what it is we are practising. And in what way you can give direction to your yoga practice.
How can you deepen your postures? How can you find synergy between your breath and your physical posture practice? What is the effect of postures and breathing on the body? And what happens with your awareness and attention in your practice? How is the breath connected with the more meditative aspects of yoga?
These insights support you in exploring and following your yoga path. Which postures do you want to practice more, less or differently? How do you want to work with the breath and yoga postures? Where does the mind sit in all this?
You can go many directions, and the most beautiful thing happens when you can give direction to your practice based on insights and your embodied learning and experience.
This will allow you to step on the mat with a different focus.
And you will also get of the mat with a different experience.
Workshop 1 – Breath, Body and Mind
(Saturday 17 May, 12.30 – 1630 hours)
This first workshop takes the breath as the entry point to explore your yoga practice. We start with understanding and experiencing how the breathing works. From there, we explore how to generate synergy between breathing and posture practice. And then we explore how the breath and pranayama practice relates to the mind.
Workshop II – Building your Yoga Practice
(Sunday 18 May, 10.30 – 17.30 hours)
This second workshop will support you to buyild and deepen your yoga practice. By reflecting on principles of practice, you can gain clarity on why and what it is you are practising on your mat. What is driving your practice, what are your goals? These principles will be applied to more specific themes: balance, and moving the pelvis, hips and spine.
By gaining more clarity on which principles guide your practice, and by gaining more insight into how postures and your body work, you can shape your yoga practice in a more intentional manner. What does your body need? How do breathing and posture practice serve you, your body and your mind? What are your priorities and possibilities? How can you practice to advance in those directions?
